Housing Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing support services, managing facilities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to manager landlord and tenant relations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the support services of a business, such as catering, IT, utilities and physical environment
· Make sure that the amenities meet health and safety standards and legal requirements -Manage general upkeep, maintenance and security of the estates’ amenities
· Advise on efficient use of energy on company and clients’ properties
· Examine and assess housing applications, advise on rent levels and investigate buyers or tenants’ complaints
· Act as arbiter in disputes between landlord and tenant and ensure that both fulfil their legal obligations
· Discuss the clients requirements and may advise the clients on the purchase of property and land for investment and other purposes
· Negotiate land or property purchases and sales or leases and tenancy agreements
· Electronically maintain or arrange for the maintenance of estate accounts and records and produce financial forecasts
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Some experience in customer service or administrative roles
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office suite
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
· Customer service orientation
· Basic understanding of property management concepts (desirable but not required)
· Eager to learn and develop new skills
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Patient and empathetic when dealing with tenants and property issues
· Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities
